Teaching Philosophy

What makes a great teacher?

My educational journey has shown me that to be a great teacher, I must strive to understand the different learning styles of my students in order to adapt my instruction optimally for my classroom. To accomplish this, I must work to build an environment of trust in the classroom so that students are comfortable with using failure as an instructor to grow.

FIELD EXPERIENCE/STUDENT TEACHING

Led an enrichment course for students performing above average in order to push them beyond their comfort zone. Taught a class of 10 students various mathematical concepts and taught them how to use skills that they have learned in the past in order to approach an unknown problem.
