Jamboard

What is Jamboard?

Jamboard is an interactive whiteboard/PowerPoint that you can use to differentiate instruction. Jamboard allows you to create up to twenty slides and allows up to 50 people to join it at a time. This awesome tool allows you to insert shapes, text boxes, and other images to create lots of different activities. The awesome part of this tool is that you can send the link out to your students, and they can interact with it during your lesson. You can put up discussion boards, problems, polls, and more! I created a sample Jamboard relating to an eighth-grade math standard, so feel free to check it out! If you would like to use it for your classroom, feel free to make a copy of it and message me to let me know how it goes!

Should You Use This?

I would definitely suggest using Jamboard in your classroom! Regardless of the age of your students, having a place where students can interact with each other and the material can be really useful! It also is just a fun way to switch up instruction. Having something that is different than having a teacher lecture is really important for kids, especially at the middle level. Definitely, an awesome resource to check out if you have time. Click the button below to take a look at my example!

Danielson Framework for Teaching

Jamboard relates to both Domain 2 & 3

Jamboard fits in pretty well to Domain 2 and Domain 3 of the Danielson Framework for Teaching. Domain 2 is about classroom environment. Using Jamboard gives your students a chance to work with a group, which helps to build respect and rapport among your students. Domain 3 discusses varying instruction to stretch your students comfort level with materials. Jamboard is an awesome resource for this because it lets you design different questions and monitor student progress while they are solving the problems.
