What is Domain 3 About?
This domain is all about instruction. It discusses the many ways that a teacher can create active and engaging instruction for their students. It covers how to communicate and engage your students, as well as how to create solid instruction that is engaging and flexible. Throughout this domain, strategies for how to deliver directions and procedures are given along with suggestions for how grouping of students should look. It is vital that teachers look at this domain in order to be reminded of what a good teacher does when it comes to instruction. It is very common to overlook certain sections in this domain when it comes to teaching. Especially in terms of flexibility, teachers will often let this go when it comes to getting though the curriculum. This domain gives important reminders for what how to use our instruction time to make sure that our students are learning the information fully rather than just dumping information on them and expecting students to comprehend it on their own.
Daily Agenda

Domain 3 is all about instruction. Having a daily outline, like the one pictured above, allows me to outline for my students what their expectations are for the day. It is also a good reminder of what we are doing that day, so that I can have smooth transitions between the different topics.
