As teachers, we are expected to use technology in the classroom every day. Using this technology helps us to create engaging lessons for our students, and allows us to have more flexibility with our instruction style. It is vital that we are given training on how to use these technologies so that we are able to properly use new technologies.

Domain 4 of the Danielson Framework for Teaching is all about professional development, and teachers do professional development all the time. Being able to use professional development time to work on understanding new technology has numerous benefits. Primarily, having this time dedicated to new tech forces teachers to work on understanding new technology that will help benefit our students and our lessons.
